Theme exchange seminar in interdisciplinary research fields about urban sustainability  

KoGeReC holds a continuous academic event. From 14 – 17 October in Karlsruhe, Germany with Korean researcher held a cooperation workshop with researchers from LHI (Land&Housing Institute) and KICT (Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology).

  • Seminar

    As we held a previous conference in Seoul before, this time, Korean researchers visited Karlsruhe and held a theme exchange seminar with German and Korean researchers who interested in researching cooperation with each other.
    Twelve researchers from HsKA, Franhofer ICT in Germany also LHI and KICT in South Korea attended this seminar from various theme fields; energy, energy and water resource management, and energy efficiency architecture to present their current research interests and detailed project progress.   • Excursion and visiting

    • Karlsruhe Tram-train system

      A signature train system of Karlsruhe; Tram-Train system. We got a chance to introduce it to researchers, what an opportunity, effect were and how it works. After discussion, researchers could experience on site with S1 from Europaplatz in the center and to Albtal Bahnhof and Bad Frauenalb

    • Fraunhofer ICT

      We could visit to Fraunhofer ICT in Pfinztal with inviting of Dr. Peter Fischer. His team is leading a research in Redox-Flow-Battery. This battery is a type of electrochemical cell, which could be applied in residential, industrial unit energy saving system with renewable energy. Dr. Fischer introduce research field and his team, and system, principles of battery briefly. Then we could visit to a test filed of redox flow battery.
